"A man may conquer a million men in battle, but one who conquers himself is, indeed, the greatest of conquerors" [Dhammapada (v. 103)]
The mind is the inner space where everything that happens affects us interiorly and originates. Feelings, emotions, thoughts.
To get in touch with our mind as "space in which everything happens" do not appears desirable to us or, at least, interesting, because we are already in contact with our mind... what is the point to be aware of something that I am already natively conscious?
Yet behind this simple observation is hiding a lie very deep and with very pervasive effects: the mind misleads, does not tell the truth, which is that we are almost never in relationship with it, definitely we do not know it and in the end we are dominated by it.
The art of developing the Mindfulness is the key to begin unraveling this deception and to start repossessing spaces of freedom as deep as unexpected. This path can begin both through Counseling meetings and accessing the practice of Meditation.
