The fil rouge is to find the unity between the mind and the body

I am a professional counselor registered with AssoCounseling (Professional Counselor n. A0972). My area of specialization is the development of Awareness and the discovery of the transpersonal dimension through the integration of mind and body.

I began my research in 1982. I followed the psycho-pedagogical training course proposed by the PRH (Personnalité et Relations Humaines) training school, acquiring an original method of self-discovery. I practised meditation following the guidance of P. Mariano Ballester s.j. I practised Tai Chi Chuan with Master Wu Dao-Gong.

In 2008 I began training in counseling with the Mindfulness Project Association, at the Lama Tzong Kapa Institute in Pomaia. A path inspired by the humanistic psychology of Carl Rogers and the Buddhist vision of existence. I met Alberto Cortese (a student of Joseph Goldstein) who allowed me to deepen the practice of Vipassana meditation. I began practicing Odaka Yoga with Roberto Milletti.

In 2012 I graduated as a Professional Counselor and I obtained the Odaka Yoga Instructor certification. In 2015 I completed the training as a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher under the direct guidance of John Kabat Zinn and Saki Santorelli at the Center for Mindfulness of the University of Massachusetts Medical School (the place where the MBSR protocol originated).

In the following years I integrated other knowledge that I acquired through specific training and experiential insights into the complex relationship between mind and body (massage, breathing, focusing, dance therapy, tantra, spiritual healing, contemplative therapy). I am a polyvagal operator, having completed in 2023 the first course in Italy for the therapeutic application of the Polyvagal Theory of S. Porges, following the teachings of Deb Dana in the course organized by the Institute of Somatorelational Psychology.

The fil rouge that unites these practices is to find the unity between mind and body. This integration is capable of freeing the forces of change within us, that drive to change for the better, to evolve, to heal, to leave the old skin as an empty, transparent, insubstantial shell.

For this reason, in my work, I put the body at the centre as the ground where we can cultivate the quality of our mind called mental presence or Mindfulness. This is the ability to pay attention, intentionally, in the present moment, continuously, without forgetfulness or distraction, with an attitude of constant acceptance, to everything that manifests itself here and now, to things “as they are”, in a non-judgmental way.

Starting from a clear and relaxed mind, it is possible to defuse beliefs and reactive functioning, better understand one’s own needs and those of others and understand the motivations, internal meanings, conflicts and dynamics that prevent us from putting an end to problematic or stressful situations that hinder a more satisfying and full life. This may appear as a goal, the end of work on oneself. But when these understandings are acquired, other internal horizons open up, other spaces to explore, in dimensions that transcend our singularity.

Even though I’ve spent a lot of time cultivating these practices for myself, I’m not that scary.

I am happy to work with anyone who is engaged in the path of growth, whatever their level of experience or life circumstances, to discover the practice of meditation and along the paths of inner healing to reach that profound freedom capable of transforming us into the best version of ourselves.

I live between Lausanne and Rome and, whenever I can, I take refuge in the woods.
